"Deconstructing my scarred body was part of a process of self-analysis of the visible and invisible causes and impact of my diagnosis of metastatic renal cell carcinoma. The finished piece illuminated my understanding of the official facts of the disease and helped integrate this with various Western and Eastern philosophical views. This project gave my imagination the freedom to guide me through new territory. I received more than simple support and guidance from my collaborator and found substantial support from working with other cancer survivors."-Aaron

Our project, originally conceptualized as a solid blue canvas changed in ways I would never have dreamed.
