THE
APHRODITE PROJECT 2005
The relationship between creativity and healing is the central construct
in
THE APHRODITE PROJECT. As the "creators" experience the
magic of the creative process, they are simultaneously experiencing
the healing and meditative state that creativity can elicit, as
well as reconnecting with their sense of playfulness and joy.The
art that is created holds the story of the cancer journey, and the
"creator" with the help of the "artist" relays
this story of courage and transformation in a unique and personal
way.
Please enjoy the works of five of the eighteen artist/creator
pairs from the 2005 project. Highlighted are examples of the new
mediums that were used.
